I was born in Canada. Growing up, I spent my formative years in a small mining community in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. I currently live and work in central Texas.

I took up photography as a serious pursuit in 2001 and have not looked back…

              Digital Darkroom

My darkroom is totally digital. Even when I shoot with my film camera, I have the slides or negatives professionally scanned into digital files so I can work on them on my personal computer.

              Darkroom Tools

I work mainly with the following software products and tools:

- Adobe Photoshop
- nik multimedia
- Corel Painter
- Wacom graphics tablet
- Flaming Pear
- AutoFx
- Microtek scanner

              Printing

To create my fine art prints, I use an Epson Stylus Pro 4800 printer that I purchased from Digital Technology Group. To calibrate my monitor, I use a Monaco Optix XR colorimeter. I use Epson, Hahnemuhle and MOAB paper. When I print at a lab, I’ve had good experiences with Mpix.

What’s in my Camera Bag?

- Sony DSC-F717 and DSC-F828 with Carl Zeiss Lenses (for infrared work)
- Nikon D70 with Nikkor and Sigma Lenses

... plus various lens filters such as Hoya R72, ND and Circular Polarizers.
